Weatherization Installer

New to energy efficiency work? This popular three-day VT Tech Green Trainings course will introduce you to everything you need to know to get started, and the material is very accessible for do-it-yourself homeowners as well.

The Weatherization Installer course offers instruction in safe work practices and delves into the theory, methods, techniques, and tools used for energy efficiency retrofit installations.

The training includes classroom lecture on building science and construction technology, as well as instructor demonstration and hands-on application of:
  • Advanced air sealing and insulation techniques
  • Blower doors
  • Mechanical ventilation
  • Hand and power tools
  • Safety measures
  • Furnace duct work problems and solutions
