Building professionals -- this course is for you.
This training is APPLIED building science specifically for building professionals, emphasizing real life / job site examples. Addressing concerns of vapor and water management, this course goes beyond energy efficiency to cover all aspects of health and safety in creating a sustainable home environment.

This course uses the Web-based GreenBuildingAdvisor.com.  As part of the course, each participant will receive a two-month full membership to the Web tool, giving you access to all of its content.

The course is designed to help you:
  • Master the principles of building science, particularly heat flow, moisture flow, and their connections (hygrothermal).
  • Apply hygrothermal principles to real world examples/case studies.
  • Evaluate the connections on your projects (new and retrofit) between energy efficiency, indoor air quality, moisture management, and durability.
  • Obtain confidence with the course resources as follow-up to the course content, particularly Tools of the Trade.
  • Use the “my GBA” project tool embedded in GreenBuildingAdvisor.com with your classmates, team members, clients, and project reviewers (such as building code or home inspectors).
  • Make the connections between the science of high performance homes and the marketing of your own business and building science expertise.
